CRAG is offering a 4-year Predoctoral Grant (FPI Fellowship)
CRAG is offering a 4-year predoctoral grant within the framework of the National Programme for the Promotion of Talent and its Employability in R+D+i (FPI Fellowships).
This contract forms part of the grant PID2025-175078NB-I00, funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the ESF+.
Selection Criteria
The evaluation process will follow the following criteria and subcriteria:
Criterion 1. Academic and/or Scientific-Technical Background of the Candidate (up to 50 points)

Subcriterion 1.a): Scientific and Technical Achievements (up to 45 points). The candidate's academic record and other curricular merits will be assessed, as well as their suitability for the tasks to be carried out according to their academic background and professional experience.

Subcriterion 1.b): Mobility and Internationalization (up to 5 points). The relevance and impact of the candidate's stays in national or international research centres and/or in the industrial sector will be assessed, taking into account the prestige of the host institution and the activities carried out during the stay.
Criterion 2. Suitability of the Candidate for the Research Activities to be Developed (up to 50 points)
The candidate's suitability for the research programme and project will be evaluated based on their previous training and experience. Particular attention will be paid to the added value that the project represents for the candidate's research career, as well as the contribution the candidate can make to the host research group and institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and perform experiments within the framework of the PhD and related to the laboratory project.
Education, Training and Professional Experienc
- BSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related fiel
- Master’s degree in Plant Biology, Plant Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Previous experience in plant genomics, long-read sequencing and genome assembly, transposon characterization, GWAS analyses, and Physcomitrium patens culture and transformation will be considered an asset
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced level of English

- Communication skills and user training abilities
- Capacity to collaborate with others
